Owner/Trainer Niqi, is a certified professional trainer, and has worked extensively with dogs both locally and internationally on rescue missions from dog fighting rings, to street dogs with attitudes. She has spent over a decade shaping behaviors in animals, and effectively teaching dog owners how to understand and work with their pets. She has led presentations and seminars on dog body language internationally, has extended her knowledge to student trainers, and offers apprentice programs for new trainers looking to gain more experience and education. She currently also works as a trainer for a local dog rescue and personally sees to the success in their placement with their new families. Using positive reinforcement and loving redirection rather than negative motivation and stern corrections, her methods include and involve owner participation and education, giving you the opportunity to create an unbreakable bond with your dog as they learn a new way of living their life to the fullest by your side.
Meet Ryder, a rescue who was independently wild and free his entire life before he found Niqi. He was an escape artist, always looking for the next adventure. Ryder also had some issues with resource guarding and jumping on people, but now serves as a therapy dog to children and seniors when he is not working to keep all the dogs happy and in harmony in the daycare! This confident and gentle pack leader, is bonded to his people, and when off-leash and free, always chooses to stay with them. Though he is now 13 years old, he is still energetic and loves the training games we play to keep his mind stimulated.
While this rescue from India does not get to participate in play dates with other dogs in dog daycare, Russell is more than happy being "king of the castle" on his own. He was aggressively fearful of every sound and new encounter, and life had to change to accommodate this special boy. Russell had to to learn to trust that his people would keep him safe, and to let go of his street dog instincts. The love he gives to his family and his loyalty to them was worth every year of his ongoing rehab and training. Now, at 16 years old his hearing and mobility are decreasing. His training continues in a new way to help him adapt to life as a senior dog.
One on One Training:
Building a Bond/Basic Obedience
Dogs can be our best friends if we learn how to communicate with them. Whether you're looking to build a fantastic bond with your dog, to curb some unwanted behaviors, or to increase their level of obedience, the best way to do this is by learning what motivates your dog, how to positively challenge your dog, and through dog body language.
Consultation and assessment: $120
1 hour session: $130
6 Weekly 1hr Sessions: $680 (must be used within 8 weeks)
Rehabilitation and Integration
Owner/Trainer Niqi, is an advocate of rescue and adoption and specializes in rehabilitation and re-assimilation, especially with street dogs. Many of our rescued dogs come with hang ups and other behavioral issues. They need help adapting to a new life, learning how to be a dog again, or recovering from past experiences. Dogs are forgiving creatures, who sometimes need a little help forgetting. During our rehabilitation program, we will spend time not only with your dog's integration into your home, but also with your integration into their lives, creating a relationship of trust.
Consultation and assessment: $120
1 hour session: $140
8 Weekly 1hr Sessions: $960 (must be used within 11 weeks)
Aggression/Reactivity
Often dogs can become aggressive due to fear, trauma, anxiety, confusion, anticipating punishment or a negative experience, or due to health problems. The first step is to seek veterinary care to ensure your dog is healthy and not in any pain, as sometimes, something as simple as an ear infection can cause aggression.
Helping a dog to overcome aggressive tendencies is more like rehabilitation than training. Niqi spends time gaining your dog’s trust and learning what is triggering their aggression. Through years of interpreting dog body language and helping owners to effectively communicate to their canines, Niqi has successfully helped many dogs and their owners. Each case is different, and every dog has a different reason for their aggression, and a different way of addressing it is applied to every dog that Niqi works with.

Educational Classes and Seminars:
Dog Body Language
Learn what dogs are trying to communicate to us, how they communicate with each other, how stress signals can lead to serious warning signals, how to appease a dog using their language, and how to avoid aggression. This 2 hour class is packed full of information and demonstrations, and will give you a chance to ask any questions or discuss any observations you've made with your own dog.

Reactivity, Anxiety, Fear, and Aggression
Why is my dog feeling this way and how can I help him/her?
In this class we dive deep into the cause of elevated and heightened stress in dogs, and the science behind addressing it. We discuss therapeutic modalities, nutrition and wellness, behavior modification, training methods, and help determine what approaches may suit you and your dog best.

How to Read Dog Food Labels
The food our dogs eat, and a dog's gut health is key to their overall health and mental wellbeing. Learning how to interpret the information on a pet food label arms you with the proper information to make better choices for your pet. We will discuss dangerous food ingredients, necessary ingredients, packaging terms, and all the components of a pet food label.

Group Classes:
Puppy/Beginner:
Puppies are a lot of work, but the rewards from setting a good foundation for your pup, are immeasurable. While this is a fun, energetic puppy class, it is also a lot more in depth than most, and we often have dogs that are not young pups join us, as they are just beginning their training. We teach your dogs all of the basic commands, and teach you (their humans) dog body language to build a bond with your dog and give you both a great understanding of each other by the end of the classes. You and your pup will also learn how to socialize properly with other dogs.
*We only accept a maximum of 6 puppies to give everyone one on one time with the trainers.
6 (45 minute) Sessions: $295
Wednesdays at 5:45pm starting September 9th SOLD OUT
Teen Manners:
This class focuses on manners, hormonal changes, building a bond with your dog, foundational obedience, leash walking, preventing problem behaviors, proper meetings and introductions with other animals and people, and communicating effectively with your dog using dog body language.
*We only allow 5 dogs to attend this class so that there is enough one on one time, and each owner can work towards their dog’s specific needs.
6 (1 hour) Sessions: $395

Intermediate/Advanced Obedience:
We work towards flawless commands in distracting environments that challenge your dog to focus on you no matter what. Though very advanced and intense, this class is fun and energetic, and extremely rewarding. We require the dogs to have completed one on one training or one of the above classes, and to have a full understanding of their basic obedience commands.
*We only allow 5 dogs to attend this class so that there is enough one on one time for everyone.
5 (1 hour) Sessions: $395
Mondays at 5:30pm starting September 14th
"Next Level" Bonding, Commands, Communication:
These classes focus on your relationship and ability to communicate with your dog. Dogs have an amazing ability to understand what we want without us needing to speak to them. They can sense our emotions, and so often act based on what we project. In this class you will close the gap between all the obedience and command training that you have done with your dogs, and connect in a way that not only removes any mental and physical stresses your dog may be going through, but help you to remove that pressure as well. We will teach your dogs to be more aware of you, to look to you for direction, to enjoy following your lead, and to control their impulses. We will teach you to think like a dog, to be the leader they need, to be worthy of that role, to be able to trust your dog in all situations, and to relieve your dog of any responsibilities they took on that prevent them from enjoying their dog lives! This class addresses unwanted problem behaviors, your dog's physical and psychological needs, and changes your relationship from being your dog's owner to being your dog's best leader.
Your dog should have a full understanding and at least a 90% success rate of basic commands (sit, down, wait, drop it, leave it, come), having completed a higher level of training than puppy classes. It is important that your dog has a foundation for their commands and is not currently struggling with unaddressed anxiety or reactivity. Please feel free to email us and confirm whether you and your dog are ready for this kind of training.

Evolving With Your Dog
You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
As our dogs age, their needs and abilities change. In this class we prep you and your dogs so that the transition into their senior years is less stressful for both of you. We will focus on building a bond of trust to deal with all future experiences together, and teach you dog body language to better understand and communicate with your dog. We will show you how to mentally stimulate and appropriately exercise your mature dog, and teach your dog new commands and signals BEFORE they lose their eyesight, hearing, or mobility. We share health tips to prevent arthritis, organ failure, fatty lipomas, and to boost the immune system, and provide information on various alternative care options for your senior dog.
*We only accept a maximum of 6 dogs to give everyone one on one time with the trainers.

Training at Daycare
For those of us who do not have time to set the foundation of training, we now offer sessions for your pups while they are at daycare.
In this 4 week program, your dog will learn how to effectively use their body language to communicate and connect with their handler, as well as mastering their:

LOOSE LEASH WALKING:

*please note training sessions are meant to be done while your pup is at daycare to challenge them to focus in a stimulating and distracting environment. Owners do not attend these sessions, as other dogs will be present. Owners must participate in one on one and/or group sessions.
